Carbon Steel Hand Weed Fork

The Kew Gardens Carbon Steel Hand Weed Fork is a premium hand tool designed for weeding and cultivating soil in borders, pots and tubs. Developed through collaboration between Spear & Jackson and the Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew, this fork combines traditional craftsmanship with horticultural expertise to deliver a tool built for serious gardening tasks. The carbon steel head offers exceptional strength—at least 50% stronger than stainless steel—ensuring long-lasting durability even in demanding conditions. A hammer finished epoxy coating provides enhanced resistance to rust, humidity and alkalis commonly found in soil, whilst the extended tang design delivers improved leverage and knuckle clearance during use. Ideal for breaking up compacted soil around shrubs and plants, this weed fork features an FSC certified ash handle that has been weather-proofed for greater durability. The 127mm handle provides comfortable control, whilst a leather wrist strap enables convenient storage when not in use.
