Irrawaddy Brass Lamp Base Antiqued Brass

This hammered brass lamp base was inspired by the buddhist monks' alms bowls, a very strong image of Burmese culture. The brass finish is a reference to the golden light which streams through the leaves every evening, the golden hour which bathes the country in a warm shimmer. Of the golden pagodas which dot the landscape like gilded iced gems. Of the glistening gold leaf sold on every street corner to daily worshipers on their way to pray. This will bring new life for your home, and is embedded with the ancient, rich culture of another world. Check out the rest of our brass collection here.
