The closing mechanism comprises two robust clasps in a chrome effect that lock the cabinet closed when not in use. The handle is also covered in the black leatherette and is securely attached with fixings, again in the chrome effect. Set against the black carbon effect leatherette of the case, these fixings just add to the luxurious look of this set.Inside the cabinet, the playing field has been created using leatherette as well, and this results in a quieter playing surface, than you would get with a wooden surface. Expertly placed points in red and grey beautifully complement the main playing surface, which is black. The playing stones also have this chrome effect with orange leatherette inlay both sides and can be stored, when not in play, in the handy stones holders within the case.
