The Mercedes SLC is a luxury coup made by the Stuttgart company between 1971 and the early 1980s. It was developed on the basis of the Roadster and is characterised by its harmonious and elegant line. The 450 SLC was equipped with a V8 engine with 4520 cm3 displacement and 225 HP power. The good performance has been combined with the sophisticated interior furnishings made with "Premium" materials according to the position the SLC should have on the market. Starting from the series production project, where good commercial success has been achieved, special versions for the rally competitions have also been manufactured with roll bars, stronger rims and lighter bodywork to optimise the weight/performance ratio and ensure the best performance. Good results were achieved at a sporty level, such as victory in the 1978 Mintex rally.
