What is Hibiwash 125ml? Hibiwash 125ml is an antimicrobial preparation containing 4% chlorhexidine gluconate. It is intended for pre-operative surgical hand disinfection, antiseptic hand washing on the ward, and pre- and post-operative skin antisepsis for patients undergoing elective surgery. This pack contains 125ml. Chlorhexidine gluconate has a wide range of antimicrobial activity and has been used for many decades in hospitals. It is not absorbed into the skin but binds to it, forming a protective layer that continues to work for a long period after application, and unlike povidone iodine it is not inactivated by bodily fluids. Ingredients Usage How to use Hibiwash 125ml Always follow the directions for use on the product label and any instructions from your veterinary surgeon or healthcare professional. For hand disinfection and skin antisepsis, apply to the area as directed, then rinse as instructed on the label. Repeated application of chlorhexidine-based products has been shown to increase antimicrobial efficacy. Usage Warnings Precautions to consider before using Hibiwash 125ml For external use only. Avoid contact with the eyes; if contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water. Do not use if you are allergic to chlorhexidine gluconate or any other ingredient. If skin irritation or an allergic reaction occurs, stop use and seek advice. Keep out of reach of children and store as directed on the label. Warnings
