Rich in bixin in synergy with selenium, Urucum is an antioxidant naturale which contributes to the maintenance of the skin. Bixin is similar to beta-carotene: urucus contains 100 times more bixin than carrot beta-carotene. The Indians were covered in una Red powder to protect against the sun and mosquitoes! It was actually Urucum. The name "red skin" from Portuguese comes from this encounter. A traditional consecration, it colors all your dishes (rice, meat, kurakkan, salad...) and flavors them with a delicate touch. Very characteristic notes of saffron and mustard seeds. It can essere used as a food coloring naturale to obtain orange rust shades.
