Far more flexible than a mechanical timer, this digital timer has 10 on/off programs allowing programming to take place 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, meaning each day can be set differently to suit your working hours and lifestyle. Going away? then choose the random mode, so it will decide when to turn your lamp on and off...randomly as if your home were occupied. The socket has an LCD display and 8 large buttons for easy use, and it also has a built in auto rechargeable battery to keep it working in the event of a power cut. Have your lamps switched on ready when you come home, and turn themselves off at bedtime. These timers are also a great idea for use with some lamps such as lava or laser, where prolonged use isn't advised, you can make sure that they are only turned on for the recommended times.
