Nutritional Yeast Mini Flakes

Member Owned Since 1976Responsible to People and PlanetKosher Non-IrradiatedFrontier Co-op® Nutritional Yeast Mini Flakes are a healthful non-dairy cheese substitute and seasoning made from a single-celled organism, Saccharomyces cerevisiæ, grown on a mixture of cane and beet molasses. To create these flavorful flakes, the yeast is harvested, washed, pasteurized and dried with heat to deactivate it. When the yeast is inactive, it doesn't act as a leavening agent and instead adds creamy texture as a cheese substitute or flavorful nutty taste as a seasoning to recipes and snacks. Our nutritional yeast mini flakes are perfect for vegans who love cheese or anyone seeking a good source of fiber. These flakes have a strong resemblance to Parmesan and offer a healthy, dairy-free alternative for cheese sauce, soups, gravies or egg-less scrambles. Use nutritional yeast flakes in place of where you would normally use cheese for, like on pasta dishes, salads, nachos, or even crackers.
