Forgefix Loft Legs

Forgefix Loft Legs are insulation spacers designed to create an elevated storage platform in lofts while preserving insulation efficiency. These UK-manufactured supports raise the loft floor by 175mm, allowing full-depth insulation to remain effective beneath a usable storage area. The system works by fixing directly to ceiling joists, with loft boards or 18mm chipboard sheets secured on top to form a raised platform above the insulation layer. This design prevents compression of insulation materials, which can reduce thermal effectiveness by over 50% when squashed. By maintaining proper insulation depth, the loft legs help preserve U-values and energy efficiency. Constructed from recycled materials, these lightweight yet ultra-strong spacers offer a practical solution for homeowners who need both adequate loft insulation and functional storage space. The system accepts standard tongue and groove loft panels or chipboard sheets, making installation straightforward for contractors and competent DIYers alike.
