This 4mm diameter x 40mm length Forgefast Pozi Wood Screw in a pack of 200 offers robust fixing capability for thick timber sections in interior applications. The 40mm length combined with 4mm diameter provides excellent performance for securing battens, substantial studwork, and heavy-duty carpentry where reliable deep penetration is essential. With a universally accepted Pozi-compatible drive, this screw incorporates six underhead lobes for improved countersinking with minimal surface dust. The reinforced countersunk neck enhances holding power throughout the extended fixing depth. An anti-friction thread minimises timber splitting, prevents jacking and spinning during assembly, and provides improved drawing strength. The serrated design enhances pull-out resistance whilst reducing insertion torque. The double cutting point allows faster drilling time with reduced wood dust clogging and is capable of piercing 0.8mm steel. Protected by the Elementech 400 coating, this screw offers anti-corrosive protection lasting up to six times longer than standard zinc coatings. The environmentally friendly coating contains no Cr6+ and is Salt Spray tested to 400 hours.
