Rosewood Mortice Gauge

The Faithfull Rosewood Mortice Gauge is a precision marking tool designed for accurate layout of mortice and tenon joints and marking lines parallel to the grain. Crafted from the finest hardwood with brass facing plates and fittings, this traditional gauge combines durability with functional elegance. This mortice gauge features a knurled brass thumbscrew with a nylon friction pad underneath, which reduces wear to the stem whilst ensuring secure and accurate positioning. The dual-pin design distinguishes it from standard marking gauges, with the second pin used specifically for mortice work and adjusted precisely using the pullslide mechanism. Ideal for joiners and cabinetmakers working on mortice and tenon joinery, this gauge provides reliable accuracy when marking out timber joints. The hardwood construction and brass fittings offer long-term durability in workshop environments, whilst the smooth action of the adjustment mechanism ensures consistent results across multiple marking tasks.
