The Elta SSDL315-1EC-RT is a 315mm Singleflow SSDL centrifugal box fan with rectangular inlet and outlet spigots and a pre-fitted terminal box. It moves up to 2376 m³/h in free air, 1865 m³/h at 200 Pa and still 1008 m³/h at 500 Pa, the highest pressure in Elta's published table.A single phase EC external rotor motor (220-240V 50/60Hz) drives a backward curved impeller balanced to ISO1940-1, at up to 2145 rpm with an integrated commissioning control for setting speed. The 1.2mm galvanised steel casing is acoustically lined and suitable for external mounting, the IP44 motor has sealed for life bearings and runs in air from -20°C to +60°C, and Elta backs it with a 12 month warranty. 1 Phase EC Motor Up to 2376 m³/h Speed Controllable What it is best used forLarger ducted systems on 315mm duct: general kitchen ventilation, hotel and school wash areas, factory welfare blocks and office floors. At 100 Pa it moves 2135 m³/h, and it still gives 1865 m³/h at 200 Pa, so it copes with long runs and filter or heater battery losses.At full speed it is the loudest SSDL at the inlet (65 dB(A) at 3m), so plan for spigot silencers near occupied rooms. It is not for grease-laden canopy extract over cooking ranges without suitable filtration, nor for corrosive or explosive atmospheres; air must stay within -20°C to +60°C.Why choose this over alternativesThis is the 315mm SSDL with rectangular spigots and terminal box. Pick this version when the fan connects to rectangular ductwork and you also want a pre-fitted terminal box for a quick, tidy electrical connection. The fan, motor and performance are identical across the four versions, so the choice is only about duct shape and wiring. The same size is also available as Elta SSDL315-1EC (circular spigots), Elta SSDL315-1EC-T (circular spigots with terminal box) and Elta SSDL315-1EC-R (rectangular spigots).It nearly doubles the Elta SSDL250-1EC-RT (2135 against 1184 m³/h at 100 Pa) on a single 1.62 A supply. If noise matters more than budget, the Elta SSDL400-1EC-RT turned down to 5V still moves about 2038 m³/h at 100 Pa at just 47 dB(A) at the inlet, compared with 65 dB(A) for the 315 at full speed.Installation notes Mount it at any angle, indoors or outside, on drop rods or Elta's SEL anti-vibration mounts (upright or inverted), make sure it is adequately supported, and leave access for maintenance. The inlet and outlet are rectangular spigots for rectangular ductwork. Check the spigot sizes on Elta's dimensional drawing before fabricating the duct connections. A terminal box is pre-fitted to one side; tell us which side when ordering. Elta's drawing shows it adds 74mm to dimension B, so allow for that in tight voids. Speed is set on the built-in commissioning potentiometer. To use an external potentiometer or a 0-10V BMS signal, remove the jumper link and connect to ST1; the commissioning setting then caps the maximum speed. Disconnect the fan before any insulation resistance testing. Elta warn this can damage the EC electronics and is not covered by warranty.
