The Elta SSDL250-1EC-R is a 250mm Singleflow SSDL centrifugal box fan with rectangular inlet and outlet spigots and no terminal box. It moves up to 1307 m³/h in free air, 1022 m³/h at 200 Pa and still 428 m³/h at 500 Pa, the highest pressure in Elta's published table.A single phase EC external rotor motor (220-240V 50/60Hz) drives a backward curved impeller balanced to ISO1940-1, at up to 2545 rpm with an integrated commissioning control for setting speed. The 1.2mm galvanised steel casing is acoustically lined and suitable for external mounting, the IP44 motor has sealed for life bearings and runs in air from -20°C to +60°C, and Elta backs it with a 12 month warranty. 1 Phase EC Motor Up to 1307 m³/h Speed Controllable What it is best used forDucted extract or supply on 250mm duct where a little more volume than the 200 is needed: larger toilet blocks, classrooms, staff rooms, libraries and offices. At 100 Pa it moves 1184 m³/h, roughly 10 air changes an hour in a space of about 120 m³.Near 500 Pa the 250 gives no more air than the 200, so do not upsize for pressure alone. It is not suitable for corrosive or explosive atmospheres, and the airstream must stay within -20°C to +60°C.Why choose this over alternativesThis is the 250mm SSDL with rectangular spigots. Pick this version when the fan connects to rectangular ductwork, so you avoid a fabricated circular to rectangular transition on each side. The fan, motor and performance are identical across the four versions, so the choice is only about duct shape and wiring. The same size is also available as Elta SSDL250-1EC (circular spigots), Elta SSDL250-1EC-T (circular spigots with terminal box) and Elta SSDL250-1EC-RT (rectangular spigots with terminal box).Compared with the Elta SSDL200-1EC-R it gives about 15% more air at 100 Pa (1184 against 1026 m³/h) and the second lowest specific fan power in the range, 0.52 W/(L/s) at 100 Pa. For bigger duties the Elta SSDL315-1EC-R nearly doubles the volume, 2135 m³/h at 100 Pa.Installation notes Mount it at any angle, indoors or outside, on drop rods or Elta's SEL anti-vibration mounts (upright or inverted), make sure it is adequately supported, and leave access for maintenance. The inlet and outlet are rectangular spigots for rectangular ductwork. Check the spigot sizes on Elta's dimensional drawing before fabricating the duct connections. There is no terminal box on this version; the supply cable enters from either side of the casing. Fit a local means of isolation as the wiring regulations require. Speed is set on the built-in commissioning potentiometer. To use an external potentiometer or a 0-10V BMS signal, remove the jumper link and connect to ST1; the commissioning setting then caps the maximum speed. Disconnect the fan before any insulation resistance testing. Elta warn this can damage the EC electronics and is not covered by warranty.
