The Elta SPA630/68-3AC is a 630mm Raptor plate mounted axial fan with a slow running two speed three phase motor, moving up to 11214 m³/h on high speed against static pressures up to 100 Pa. On low speed it moves 9731 m³/h at just 47 dB(A).The 380-415V AC external rotor motor runs at 903 rpm in delta and 725 rpm in star, insulated to Class F with integral thermal overload protection, drawing 630 W and 1.26 A on high speed. It uses the Ziehl-Abegg FE2owlet aerofoil impeller with serrated trailing edges, is weatherproofed to IP54 with an IP55 terminal box, and carries a 12 month Elta warranty. 3 Phase AC Motor Up to 11214 m³/h Speed Controllable What it is best used forQuiet, high volume ventilation with a three phase supply: sports halls, squash courts, school halls, shops and retail parks, and warehouses with occupied mezzanines. At 11214 m³/h it gives about 6 air changes an hour in an 1870 m³ space, for example 30m x 15m with a 4.2m ceiling.It is designed for low resistance. Above 100 Pa it runs out of pressure, so where there are heavy louvres or ducting, the SPA630/46-3AC is the better choice. It is not suitable for corrosive or explosive atmospheres.Why choose this over alternativesAgainst the faster Elta SPA630/46-3AC, this /68 version moves less air (11214 against 16549 m³/h) but runs 17 dB(A) quieter, uses 630 W instead of 1.81 kW and weighs 26 kg instead of 39 kg. On single phase, the Elta SPA630/6-1AC is a near equivalent at 10958 m³/h.Installation notes Mount the fan plate securely at any angle, in a wall, panel or bulkhead, using the four corner fixing holes, and leave access for future maintenance. Wire to Elta diagram 152-108. Delta connection gives high speed, star gives low speed, and a star/delta switch can be fitted to select between them. Swap any two supply phases to reverse rotation. For variable speed, Elta pair this fan with the 149-TC33 three phase transformer controller wired through its own terminal box. The thermal contacts (TB TB) must be wired into the starter or controller circuit so the motor is protected. Fit a local means of isolation. At first start check rotation, airflow direction and that the running current does not exceed the rating plate. Inspect and clean blades and guards at least every 12 months.
