SPA630 4 3EC Raptor Plate Axial Fan Three Phase EC 630mm

The Elta SPA630/4-3EC is a 630mm Raptor plate mounted axial fan with a three phase EC motor, moving up to 13122 m³/h at full speed and working against static pressures up to 250 Pa. Speed is fully variable, so the fan can be set to match the room.The EC external rotor motor has an integrated variable speed drive, runs on 380-480V three phase 50/60Hz and reaches 1208 rpm at 10V, drawing 1.10 kW and 2.03 A. Speed is set by a 0-10V signal or the 149-POT-10-MI potentiometer. The Ziehl-Abegg FE2owlet aerofoil impeller has serrated trailing edges and winglets, the motor is weatherproofed to IP54 with an IP55 terminal box, it handles air up to +70°C, and Elta give a 12 month warranty. 3 Phase EC Motor Up to 13122 m³/h Speed Controllable What it is best used forThree phase sites that need variable or BMS controlled through-wall ventilation in warehouses, distribution sheds, factories, sports halls and large industrial units, often as a bank of fans along one wall. At 13122 m³/h it gives about 6 air changes an hour in a space of roughly 2176 m³, for example 32m x 17m with a 4m ceiling. Turned down to 8V it still moves 10580 m³/h at 53 dB(A).The datasheet shows airflow up to 250 Pa, enough for a louvre shutter, cowl or short duct, but for long ducted runs choose a cased axial or inline mixed flow fan. It is not suitable for corrosive or explosive atmospheres.Why choose this over alternativesAgainst the single phase Elta SPA630/4-1EC (11401 m³/h, up to 200 Pa, 772 W, 53 dB(A)), this three phase version draws less current per phase and reaches more pressure. The AC Elta SPA630/46-3AC moves more air (16549 m³/h, up to 250 Pa, 1.81 kW, 67 dB(A) on high speed) but only gives two fixed speeds without a transformer controller. The Compact Elta SCP630/4-3AC is a lower cost AC alternative (16524 m³/h, up to 200 Pa, 1.36 kW, 65 dB(A)). At lower speeds EC power falls sharply, which is where it saves running cost over a fixed speed AC fan.Installation notes Mount the 805 x 805mm fan plate securely at any angle using the four 11mm holes on 750mm centres, and leave access for future maintenance. Supply is 380-480V three phase 50/60Hz. Wire to Elta diagram 152-MOEA03K3 through the IP55 terminal box. The motor has a 10V output and a 0-10V input, so speed is set by the 149-POT-10-MI potentiometer or a 0-10V signal from a BMS. Disconnect the EC fan before any insulation resistance testing on the circuit. Elta warn that testing with it connected can damage the electronics and is not covered by warranty. The EC motor has internal electronic overload protection and may restart on its own after a fault clears, so isolate the supply before maintenance. At first start check rotation and airflow direction. Inspect and clean blades and guards at least every 12 months.
