SLC560 2 3AC Revolution Long Cased Axial Fan Three Phase AC 560mm

The Elta SLC560/2-3AC is a 560mm Revolution long cased axial fan and the high pressure, high volume two pole model at 560mm. It moves up to 24124 m³/h at free air and 19962 m³/h against 500 Pa, from a 2 pole three phase AC motor running at 2950 rpm.The casing is heavy gauge steel, hot dip galvanised to BS EN ISO 1461 and suitable for external mounting, with a die cast aluminium aerofoil impeller. The motor is IP55 with sealed for life bearings, wired to an IP55 terminal box on the outside of the case. The IE2 motor is designed for use with a frequency inverter. It moves 24124 m³/h at free air and still 19962 m³/h at 500 Pa.This is a big fan: 96 kg, 8.42 kW, 13.9 A and 77 dB(A) at 3m. It needs a three phase supply with proper motor protection, solid supports and almost always silencers. If your system pressure is under 250 Pa, a 630mm or 710mm four pole SLC will move similar air for far less power and noise.Why choose this over alternativesWithin the 560mm size, the four pole Elta SLC560/4C-3AC tops out at 13676 m³/h and 250 Pa on 1.497 kW. The two pole SLC560/2-3AC is the only 560mm model here for duties above 250 Pa or above about 14000 m³/h.For high volume at moderate pressure, compare the Elta SLC710/4B-3AC: 28800 m³/h at free air and 21528 m³/h at 300 Pa on 4.46 kW, if you have room for 710mm ductwork.Installation notes Mount at any angle, horizontally in a duct run or vertically, but make sure the fan is adequately supported: it weighs 96 kg. AV mounts and mounting feet are available from Elta. The flanges are 645mm outside diameter with 12 holes of 12mm on a 620mm PCD. Use Elta matching flanges and flexible connectors to join it to ductwork. Fit a local isolator, and protect the motor with a starter or controller that has overload protection; fuses and breakers only give short circuit protection. Do not use the isolator for day to day on and off control. Wire to diagram 152-601 (delta connected, 380-415V three phase). Check rotation and airflow direction at first start and that the running current does not exceed the nameplate. Not suitable for corrosive or explosive atmospheres. Inspect and clean the impeller, motor and guards at least every 12 months.
