Description

The Elta SLC500/4A-1AC is a 500mm Revolution long cased axial fan and the smaller motor single phase AC model at 500mm. It moves up to 7427 m³/h at free air and 4846 m³/h against 150 Pa, from a 4 pole single phase AC motor running at 1460 rpm.The casing is heavy gauge steel, hot dip galvanised to BS EN ISO 1461 and suitable for external mounting, with a die cast aluminium aerofoil impeller. The motor is IP55 with sealed for life bearings, wired to an IP55 terminal box on the outside of the case. Elta list no speed controller for this model, so it runs at fixed speed. Elta give a 12 month warranty. 1 Phase AC Motor Up to 7427 m³/h Fixed Speed What it is best used forGeneral ventilation on single phase at low to moderate pressure: sports halls, workshops, small warehouses, livestock and agricultural buildings, through the wall or ducted up to 150 Pa. It moves 7427 m³/h at free air on 0.483 kW and is quiet at 53 dB(A) at 3m.At 150 Pa it is down to 4846 m³/h, so it is not for long filtered ductwork. Elta list no speed controller for this model, so plan on fixed speed; if you need control, the SLC500/4B-1AC (149-TC18) or the SLC500-1EC are the alternatives. Why choose this over alternativesThe Elta SLC500/4B-1AC in the same 500mm size moves 9266 m³/h at free air and 6336 m³/h at 150 Pa on 0.702 kW, and it has a listed transformer controller. Choose the 4A when its curve covers the duty and fixed speed is fine, as it is cheaper to run.For quiet variable speed on single phase, the Elta SLC500-1EC moves 8147 m³/h at full speed and reaches 200 Pa.Installation notes Mount at any angle, horizontally in a duct run or vertically, and make sure the fan is adequately supported: it weighs 37 kg. AV mounts and mounting feet are available from Elta. The flanges are 585mm outside diameter with 12 holes of 12mm on a 560mm PCD. Use Elta matching flanges and flexible connectors to join it to ductwork. Fit a local isolator, and protect the motor with a starter or controller that has overload protection; fuses and breakers only give short circuit protection. Do not use the isolator for day to day on and off control. Wire to diagram 152-502 for 220-240V single phase. Check rotation and airflow direction at first start and that the running current does not exceed the nameplate. Not suitable for corrosive or explosive atmospheres. Inspect and clean the impeller, motor and guards at least every 12 months. You'll also need Elta matching flanges 500mm (061B-0500) (sold each, one per ducted side) Elta APK500/003 ancillary pack (flexible connections, matching flanges, AV mounts and mounting feet in one code; available to order, ask us) Browse more cased axial fans, axial fans or Elta fans, or call us for help choosing the right fan.Specifications Model SLC500/4A-1AC Type Long cased axial fan Diameter 500mm Max airflow 7427 m³/h Static pressure 150 Pa Motor Single phase AC, 220-240V 50Hz, 4 pole, 1460 rpm Power 483 W (2.09 A) Noise 53 dB(A) at 3m IP rating IP55 Warranty 1 Year Manufacturer Airflow at 150 Pa 4846 m³/h Case length (dimension C) 400mm Flange 585mm OD, 12 holes 12mm on 560mm PCD Weight 37 kg Overall efficiency 42.2% (FMEG N 50) Wiring diagram 152-502 Ambient temperature -20°C to +54°C Casing Hot dip galvanised steel Manuals & Guides Elta Revolution SLC Datasheet Elta Revolution SLC Installation Manual
