SLC355 1EC Revolution Long Cased Axial Fan Single Phase EC 355mm

The Elta SLC355-1EC is a 355mm Revolution long cased axial fan with a single phase EC motor. At full speed it moves up to 2254 m³/h at free air and 828 m³/h against 150 Pa, with the speed fully variable from a 2 to 10V signal, 4 to 20mA, PWM or a potentiometer.The casing is heavy gauge steel, hot dip galvanised to BS EN ISO 1461 and suitable for external mounting, with a die cast aluminium aerofoil impeller. The IE5 EC motor has its variable speed drive built in, is IP55 with sealed for life bearings, runs on 220-277V 50/60Hz and is rated for air up to +60°C. It moves 2254 m³/h at full speed (10V) and can be turned down with a 2 to 10V signal, 4 to 20mA, PWM or a potentiometer to match the actual demand.At full speed it reaches 150 Pa (828 m³/h at that pressure). It is not for explosive atmospheres (use the ATEX SLCX range), and it must be disconnected before any insulation resistance testing, which can damage the electronics.Why choose this over alternativesAgainst the AC Elta SLC355/4-3AC (1807 m³/h, to 75 Pa), the EC model gives stepless speed control without a separate transformer, an integrated drive and an IE5 motor, with 41.3% overall fan efficiency at its best efficiency point. The AC fan is the lower cost choice where fixed or stepped speed is enough.Need more air? The Elta SLC400-1EC moves 4241 m³/h at full speed and reaches 150 Pa. Stepping down, the Elta SLC315-1EC moves 1753 m³/h.Installation notes Mount at any angle, horizontally in a duct run or vertically, and make sure the fan is adequately supported: it weighs 19 kg. AV mounts and mounting feet are available from Elta. The flanges are 425mm outside diameter with 8 holes of 10mm on a 395mm PCD. Use Elta matching flanges and flexible connectors to join it to ductwork. Allow at least 5 minutes between switching the supply off and on: the motor has a delayed start and should not be cycled at the isolator. Day to day control should be by the speed control input or controller. Disconnect the fan before any insulation resistance testing, as it can damage the EC electronics. The terminal box takes one 20mm and one 25mm conduit fitting. Wire to diagram 152-710 or 152-736 as shown on the product label. The motor has an auto reset thermal contact, so isolate before maintenance as the fan may restart once cooled.
