The Elta Jetflow Silent SJMF200-S is a 200mm inline mixed flow circular duct fan in an acoustic enclosure, moving up to 968 m³/h in free air and 641 m³/h against 300 Pa. Elta rate it at just 40 dB(A) inlet at 3m on full speed.Inside, a jet design double mixed flow impeller is driven directly by a single phase brushless EC motor running at 3730 rpm and absorbing 0.099 kW, with sealed for life NWB bearings in an IPX4 motor rated for air up to 60°C. It arrives with a UK plug for fixed speed running and a 5m jack lead for speed control, and Elta give a 24 month warranty. 1 Phase EC Motor Up to 968 m³/h Speed Controllable What it is best used forQuiet commercial ventilation on 200mm duct where the fan is mounted in the ceiling void over occupied space: offices, classrooms, hotel corridors, restaurants and shops. It moves 893 m³/h at 100 Pa while Elta rate it at only 40 dB(A) inlet and 25 dB(A) breakout at 3m.It is longer and heavier than the standard fan (699mm long, 8 kg), so check the ceiling void and hang it from the hangers at both ends. Like the standard Jetflow it is for clean air up to 60°C, not for grease laden canopy extract or corrosive or explosive atmospheres.Why choose this over alternativesThe silent version and the standard SJMF200 use the same jet design double mixed flow impeller and EC drive, and both move 968 m³/h in free air. The difference is the acoustic enclosure: Elta rate this model at 40 dB(A) inlet and 42 dB(A) outlet at 3m, against 51 and 52 dB(A) for the standard fan, with a calculated breakout level of 25 dB(A).That can save fitting separate spigot silencers and the space they take. Where the fan is in a plant room or above a corridor nobody uses, the standard Jetflow is cheaper and smaller.Installation notes Hang the fan from the hangers at both ends of the enclosure. It is 699mm long and weighs 8 kg, so make sure the fixings and structure take the weight, and leave access for maintenance. Connect to 200mm duct with Elta fast clamps (018-200-CLAMP) or flexible connectors so the fan can be removed later. Mains connection is by the fitted 1.5m lead and UK 3 pin plug with a 3A fuse. It is supplied for fixed speed; for speed control, remove the 3.5mm jack plug and connect the supplied jack cable to a 149-POT-10-MI, 0-10V or PWM signal (wiring diagram 152-553). Do not supply it through a timer or a regularly switched circuit: the EC motor has internal overload protection and may restart unexpectedly once it cools. Indoor use only, ambient -10°C to +60°C. Locate the discharge away from the open flue of any gas or solid fuel appliance, and inspect and clean the fan at least every 12 months.
