SH100 1LC Hideaway Low Profile Acoustic Box Fan EC 100mm

The Elta SH100-1LC is a 100mm Hideaway SH low profile acoustic box fan, built for ducted extract or supply where the ceiling void is too shallow for a standard box fan. It moves up to 227 m³/h in free air and 155 m³/h at 100 Pa, and Elta's published table runs out at 200 Pa, where airflow has fallen to 50 m³/h.A single phase EC motor (220-240V 50/60Hz) drives a jet design double mixed flow impeller at up to 5000 rpm, drawing 21 W at best efficiency (0.3 A peak). An integrated commissioning control sets a single speed or a maximum speed, and the fan also accepts a potentiometer, 0-10V or PWM signal. At 100 Pa it moves 155 m³/h, roughly 10 air changes an hour in a space of about 20 m³.Elta's figures stop at 200 Pa and airflow falls away quickly above 100 Pa, so it is not the fan for long runs with filters and heater batteries; the Singleflow SSDL box fan holds its airflow to 500 Pa. It is not suitable for corrosive or explosive atmospheres, and air must stay between -20°C and +60°C.Why choose this over alternativesThe Hideaway is the low profile option. Compared with the Elta SSDL100-1EC Singleflow box fan for the same 100mm duct, it gives 155 against 446 m³/h at 100 Pa and 50 against 403 m³/h at 200 Pa, so choose the Hideaway when void depth is the constraint and the SSDL when you need more pressure.If you need more air, the Elta SH125-1LC moves 216 m³/h at 100 Pa. Its specific fan power is 0.50 W/(L/s) at 100 Pa, which helps with Part L compliance.Installation notes Mount it at any angle, adequately supported, and leave access to the removable lid for cleaning and maintenance. The circular spigots take 100mm duct directly; secure each joint with an Elta 018-100-CLAMP fast clamp, and check the airflow direction arrow before fixing. The fan comes with a 1m flying lead. Wire to Elta diagram 152-554 and fit a local means of isolation as the wiring regulations require. Speed is set on the built-in commissioning potentiometer. To use an external potentiometer or a 0-10V signal, remove the jumper link and connect to ST1; the commissioning setting then caps the maximum speed. Site the discharge so exhaust cannot be drawn back into a room through the open flue of a gas or fuel burning appliance, and inspect the fan at least every 12 months.
