The Elta SDA315/4-1AC is a 315mm Raptor SDA short cased axial fan for fitting in 315mm ductwork. It moves up to 2185 m³/h in free air, 1825 m³/h at 50 Pa and still 1552 m³/h at 75 Pa, the highest pressure in Elta's published table for this model.A 4 pole single phase AC external rotor motor (220-240V 50Hz) runs at 1320 rpm and draws 110 W at best efficiency (0.5 A peak). It is insulated to Class F with integral thermal overload protection and suits speed control. The Ziehl-Abegg FE2owlet aerofoil impeller has serrated trailing edges and winglets for lower noise, the mild steel case is powder coated in RAL 7045 with an IP55 terminal box, the motor is IP44, and Elta give a 12 month warranty. 1 Phase AC Motor Up to 2185 m³/h Speed Controllable What it is best used forDucted extract or supply on 315mm duct for classrooms, changing rooms, small shops, kitchenettes and plant rooms with a short, simple duct run. At 50 Pa it moves 1825 m³/h, roughly 6 air changes an hour in a space of about 300 m³.Its published curve stops at 75 Pa, so it is the wrong fan for long duct runs, filters, heater batteries or attenuators; for those a centrifugal box fan or an inline mixed flow fan holds its airflow far better. It is not suitable for corrosive or explosive atmospheres, and the air must stay between -20°C and +70°C.Why choose this over alternativesThis is the only Raptor SDA model we list in the 315mm case. This 4 pole single phase version runs from a standard 230V supply at 1320 rpm.If you need more air, the Elta SDA350/4-1AC moves 2570 m³/h in free air. For a smaller duct the Elta SDA250/4-1AC gives 936 m³/h. If the fan will sit in a wall or panel rather than in a duct, the Elta SPA315/4-1AC plate fan uses the same Raptor impeller and motor family on a square mounting plate.Installation notes Fit it in the duct run at any angle, securely supported, with access for maintenance. The case is 180mm long with 8 holes of 10mm on a 356mm PCD at each end for Elta matching flanges 061A-0315-C, and mounting feet 060A-0315-C are available. Wire to Elta diagram 152-104B through the fitted IP55 terminal box (21mm cable entry), and connect the thermal cut-out leads (TB TB) into the control circuit so the motor is protected. For speed control Elta list the 149-EL31 or 149-TC12 for this model; check the controller amp rating against the 0.5 A peak current. Fit a local means of isolation, and site the discharge so exhaust cannot be drawn back into a room through the open flue of a gas or fuel burning appliance. At first start check rotation, airflow direction and that the running current is within the rating plate. Inspect and clean the blades and guards at least every 12 months.
