SCD630 Cased Axial Fan Single Phase AC 630mm

The Elta SCD630/4-1AC is a 630mm Compact SCD cased axial fan with a short 250mm case, built for moving large volumes of air against low resistance. It moves up to 17413 m³/h at free air and 12186 m³/h against 150 Pa, from a 4 pole single phase AC motor running at 1280 rpm.The mild steel casing is powder coated in Telegrey 1 (RAL 7045) with the motor and adjustable pitch aerofoil impeller held within its length, and an IP55 terminal box is fitted as standard. The single phase TENV motor is Class F insulated with integral thermal overload protection and IP55 rated. Elta list no speed controller for this model, so it runs at fixed speed. It is rated for air from -20°C to +70°C and Elta give a 12 month warranty. 1 Phase AC Motor Up to 17413 m³/h Fixed Speed What it is best used forMoving a lot of air against low resistance on a single phase supply: warehousing, factories, large sports halls and industrial units, mounted in a duct run or on a wall. It moves 17413 m³/h at free air on 1.443 kW, at 63 dB(A) at 3m.It reaches 150 Pa, but airflow falls to 12186 m³/h there, so it suits short to medium duct runs rather than long filtered systems. Elta list no transformer controller for this model, so treat it as fixed speed. Why choose this over alternativesThe three phase Elta SCD630/4-3AC moves 15296 m³/h at free air at the same size and is speed controllable by inverter or 149-TC310 transformer. Choose this single phase model where three phase is not available.Against the long cased Elta SLC630/4-1AC (14519 m³/h, to 150 Pa), the SCD is a much shorter and lighter fan (250mm case, 30 kg) with a powder coated finish, and costs less. Choose the SLC for external mounting (it is hot dip galvanised and rated for outdoor use as standard) or heavier industrial duty.Installation notes The fan is short (250mm) and light (30 kg), so it fits in a duct run or on a wall where space is tight. Mounting feet and AV mounts are available from Elta. The flanges are 709mm outside diameter with 16 holes of 12mm on a 674mm PCD. Use Elta matching flanges and flexible connectors to join it to ductwork. Wire to diagram 152-500 for 220-240V single phase via the fitted IP55 terminal box (21mm cable entry). The motor has integral thermal overload protection. Elta list no speed controller for this model, so wire it for fixed speed only. At fixed speed it is rated for air from -20°C to +70°C.
