SCD500 Cased Axial Fan Three Phase AC 500mm

The Elta SCD500/4-3AC is a 500mm Compact SCD cased axial fan with a short 250mm case, built for moving large volumes of air against low resistance. It moves up to 7715 m³/h at free air and 6026 m³/h against 100 Pa, from a 4 pole three phase AC motor running at 1435 rpm.The mild steel casing is powder coated in Telegrey 1 (RAL 7045) with the motor and adjustable pitch aerofoil impeller held within its length, and an IP55 terminal box is fitted as standard. The three phase TENV motor is IP55, multi voltage (star 400V as supplied, or delta 230V three phase) and suits the Eltadrive inverter range or a 149-TC33 transformer controller. It is rated for air from -20°C to +70°C at fixed speed (+50°C with a speed controller) and Elta give a 12 month warranty. 3 Phase AC Motor Up to 7715 m³/h Speed Controllable What it is best used forMoving a lot of air against low resistance on a three phase supply: workshops, industrial units, warehousing and sports facilities, mounted in a duct run or on a wall. It moves 7715 m³/h at free air on 0.485 kW, at 59 dB(A) at 3m.Its table stops at 100 Pa (6026 m³/h), so keep duct runs short and avoid filters or attenuators in the line; for more pressure, choose a long cased SLC.Why choose this over alternativesThe single phase Elta SCD500/4-1AC moves 7128 m³/h at the same size. Choose this three phase model where you have a three phase supply and want inverter control, as Elta rate the three phase motor for use with the Eltadrive range.Against the long cased Elta SLC500/4A-3AC (6494 m³/h, to 150 Pa), the SCD is a much shorter and lighter fan (250mm case, 21 kg) with a powder coated finish, and costs less. Choose the SLC for higher pressure, external mounting (it is hot dip galvanised and rated for outdoor use as standard) or heavier industrial duty. Need more air? Mounting feet and AV mounts are available from Elta. The flanges are 567mm outside diameter with 12 holes of 10mm on a 541mm PCD. Use Elta matching flanges and flexible connectors to join it to ductwork. Supplied star (Y) connected for 400V three phase, wiring diagram 152-611, via the fitted IP55 terminal box (21mm cable entry). The motor can be reconnected to delta for 230V three phase from an inverter. If you run it on a speed controller, keep the air temperature at or below +50°C (Elta's limit with a controller); at fixed speed it is rated to +70°C.
