SCD450 Cased Axial Fan Single Phase AC 450mm

The Elta SCD450/4-1AC is a 450mm Compact SCD cased axial fan with a short 190mm case, built for moving large volumes of air against low resistance. It moves up to 4896 m³/h at free air and 1555 m³/h against 150 Pa, from a 4 pole single phase AC motor running at 1375 rpm.The mild steel casing is powder coated in Telegrey 1 (RAL 7045) with the motor and adjustable pitch aerofoil impeller held within its length, and an IP55 terminal box is fitted as standard. The single phase TENV motor is Class F insulated with integral thermal overload protection and IP55 rated. Speed control is by a 149-TC14 transformer controller. It is rated for air from -20°C to +70°C at fixed speed (+50°C with a speed controller) and Elta give a 12 month warranty. 1 Phase AC Motor Up to 4896 m³/h Speed Controllable What it is best used forMoving a lot of air against low resistance on a single phase supply: workshops, kitchens, shops and small industrial units, mounted in a duct run or on a wall. It moves 4896 m³/h at free air on 0.318 kW, at 57 dB(A) at 3m.It reaches 150 Pa, but airflow falls to 1555 m³/h there, so it suits short to medium duct runs rather than long filtered systems. Why choose this over alternativesThe three phase Elta SCD450/4-3AC moves 5447 m³/h at free air at the same size. Choose this single phase model where three phase is not available.Against the long cased Elta SLC450/4-1AC (6059 m³/h, to 100 Pa), the SCD is a much shorter and lighter fan (190mm case, 14 kg) with a powder coated finish, and costs less. Choose the SLC for external mounting (it is hot dip galvanised and rated for outdoor use as standard) or heavier industrial duty. Need more air? The Elta SCD500/4-1AC moves 7128 m³/h.Installation notes The fan is short (190mm) and light (14 kg), so it fits in a duct run or on a wall where space is tight. Mounting feet and AV mounts are available from Elta. The flanges are 515mm outside diameter with 12 holes of 10mm on a 487mm PCD. Use Elta matching flanges and flexible connectors to join it to ductwork. Wire to diagram 152-500 for 220-240V single phase via the fitted IP55 terminal box (21mm cable entry). The motor has integral thermal overload protection. If you run it on a speed controller, keep the air temperature at or below +50°C (Elta's limit with a controller); at fixed speed it is rated to +70°C.
