SCD400 Cased Axial Fan Single Phase AC 400mm

The Elta SCD400/4-1AC is a 400mm Compact SCD cased axial fan with a short 190mm case, built for moving large volumes of air against low resistance. It moves up to 2869 m³/h at free air and 324 m³/h against 150 Pa, from a 4 pole single phase AC motor running at 1335 rpm.The mild steel casing is powder coated in Telegrey 1 (RAL 7045) with the motor and adjustable pitch aerofoil impeller held within its length, and an IP55 terminal box is fitted as standard. The single phase TENV motor is Class F insulated with integral thermal overload protection and IP55 rated. Speed control is by a 149-TC12 transformer controller. It is rated for air from -20°C to +70°C at fixed speed (+50°C with a speed controller) and Elta give a 12 month warranty. 1 Phase AC Motor Up to 2869 m³/h Speed Controllable What it is best used forMoving a lot of air against low resistance on a single phase supply: kitchens, shops, small industrial units and school spaces, mounted in a duct run or on a wall. It moves 2869 m³/h at free air on 0.121 kW, at 47 dB(A) at 3m.Elta's table runs to 150 Pa, but airflow collapses to 324 m³/h there; in practice keep it to short duct runs at or below 100 Pa (1192 m³/h). For more pressure, choose a long cased SLC.Why choose this over alternativesThe three phase Elta SCD400/4-3AC moves 4993 m³/h at free air at the same size. Choose this single phase model where three phase is not available.Against the long cased Elta SLC400/4-1AC (4234 m³/h, to 100 Pa), the SCD is a much shorter and lighter fan (190mm case, 12 kg) with a powder coated finish, and costs less. Choose the SLC for external mounting (it is hot dip galvanised and rated for outdoor use as standard) or heavier industrial duty. Need more air? The Elta SCD450/4-1AC moves 4896 m³/h.Installation notes The fan is short (190mm) and light (12 kg), so it fits in a duct run or on a wall where space is tight. Mounting feet and AV mounts are available from Elta. The flanges are 466mm outside diameter with 8 holes of 10mm on a 438mm PCD. Use Elta matching flanges and flexible connectors to join it to ductwork. Wire to diagram 152-500 for 220-240V single phase via the fitted IP55 terminal box (21mm cable entry). The motor has integral thermal overload protection. If you run it on a speed controller, keep the air temperature at or below +50°C (Elta's limit with a controller); at fixed speed it is rated to +70°C.
