SB630 CYL4 3 Biflow Bifurcated Cylindrical Axial Fan Three Phase AC 630mm

The Elta SB630-CYL4-3 is a 630mm Biflow SB bifurcated cylindrical axial fan. The motor sits in a tunnel outside the airstream, so the fan can move air at up to +200°C, or air carrying grease or dust, without that air passing over the motor. It moves up to 16204 m³/h in free air, 14540 m³/h at 100 Pa and 12391 m³/h at 200 Pa, the highest pressure in Elta's published table for this model.A 4 pole three phase AC motor (380-415V 50Hz) runs at 1410 rpm with a 2.2 kW output and 4.43 A peak current. It is a foot mounted, totally enclosed IP55 motor with Class H insulation and sealed for life bearings. The adjustable pitch aerofoil impeller has pressure die cast aluminium blades, the steel casing is hot dip galvanised after fabrication and suitable for external mounting, and Elta give a 12 month warranty. 3 Phase AC Motor Up to 16204 m³/h Speed Controllable What it is best used forHigh volume hot or contaminated extract on 630mm duct: large commercial kitchen canopies, boiler houses, spray booths, foundry or heavy industrial process extract, and hot gas duties up to +200°C. At 100 Pa it moves 14540 m³/h.It is not rated for explosive atmospheres, so it is the wrong fan for ATEX zones, and Elta's manual also excludes corrosive atmospheres, so talk to us before using it on aggressive fumes. The motor must sit in ambient air between -20°C and +54°C even when the airstream is much hotter.Why choose this over alternativesRunning four pole at 1410 rpm keeps the noise to 70 dB(A) at the inlet for a fan moving 16204 m³/h, and it still gives 12391 m³/h at 200 Pa. If around half the air will do, the Elta SB500-CYL4-3 moves 8280 m³/h at 62 dB(A) in a lighter 47 kg casing.A bifurcated fan costs more than a standard cased axial because the motor has its own tunnel and Class H insulation. If the air is clean and below +70°C, a standard cased axial fan does the job for less money; choose the Biflow when heat, grease or dust would shorten a normal motor's life. The cylindrical case has a single entry motor tunnel, and at this size it is the only Biflow SB option.Installation notes Mount it at any angle, adequately supported, with access for maintenance. Do not obstruct the motor tunnel, as the motor relies on ambient air through it for cooling. This cylindrical model has a single entry motor tunnel, which must face vertically upwards or horizontally to keep the motor cool. The case is 570mm long with 12 holes of 12mm on a 690mm PCD at each end, matching Elta 061B-0630 flanges. Use Elta's high temperature 063-0630-PU250 flexible connectors for hot air duties.
