The Elta SAX23/9ARB is a 230mm (9 inch) through-wall axial fan from Elta's Classic SAX range, moving up to 828 m³/h against static pressures up to 75 Pa. It arrives as a complete wall kit: fan, telescopic steel wall liner for walls 240 to 315mm thick, slow moving delay action shutters and a 5 speed reversible controller in the box.Run it to extract, reverse it to draw fresh air in, or stop the fan with the shutters held open. The single phase AC motor has sealed for life bearings and Class B insulation, the housing is shock proof, heat resistant white plastic rated IPX4, and Elta backs it with a two year warranty. 1 Phase AC Motor Up to 828 m³/h Speed Controllable What it is best used forDirect through-wall ventilation where there is no ductwork: staff rooms, stockrooms, small workshops, garages, changing areas and general ventilation in light commercial spaces. At 828 m³/h it gives roughly 10 air changes an hour in a room of about 80 m³, for example 6m x 5m with a 2.7m ceiling.It is not the right fan for ducted runs or grease-laden kitchen canopy extract. The telescopic liner adjusts to walls 240 to 315mm thick. The fan must be wired to the controller supplied in the box. It comes with a 5m 4 core cable, so plan the controller position before you cut the hole. In rooms with an open-flued gas or solid fuel appliance, make sure there is enough make-up air so the fan cannot pull flue gases back into the room. Inspect and clean the blades, motor and guards at least once every 12 months.
