The Elta Multiflow SMB700/4-3AC is a 700mm square inline mixed flow box fan with a three phase AC motor, moving up to 14652 m³/h in free air and still delivering 9061 m³/h against 500 Pa. It fits straight into 700mm ductwork on Ductmate flanges at each end.The 4 pole motor runs at 1350 rpm on a 380 to 415V 50Hz supply, absorbing 2.621 kW with a peak current of 4.93 A, and has sealed for life bearings. The casing is stiffened pre-galvanised sheet steel, the impeller has 7 backward curved aerofoil blades in high performance composite, and it handles air up to 60°C. Elta give a 12 month warranty. 3 Phase AC Motor Up to 14652 m³/h Speed Controllable What it is best used forThe largest fan in the SMB range, for high volume three phase extract and supply on 700mm ductwork: large commercial kitchens, food courts, big plant rooms, factory and warehouse ventilation and central HVAC extract. It holds 13838 m³/h at 100 Pa and 11801 m³/h at 300 Pa, and is still moving 9061 m³/h at 500 Pa.There is no single phase version of the SMB700, so it needs a 400V three phase supply. It is the top of the SMB range: for more air than this you would need a larger fan from a different range or two fans, so ask us for a selection.Why choose this over alternativesThe SMB700/4-3AC has the flattest curve in the range: it loses only about 38% of its free air volume by 500 Pa, where the SMB650/4-3AC keeps 3503 m³/h and the 700 still moves 9061 m³/h. That makes it the safer choice when the system resistance is uncertain or likely to rise as filters load.It also has the best overall efficiency in the SMB range at 48.0% at its best efficiency point, against 44.3% for the SMB650/4-3AC.Installation notes Mount the fan at any angle in the duct, securely supported, and leave access for maintenance. Fit a means of isolation, earth the fan, and protect the motor with a starter that has overload protection; fuses and breakers only give short circuit protection.
