The Elta Multiflow SEL710-3PEC is a 710mm mixed flow inline duct fan with a three phase EC motor, moving up to 20347 m³/h in free air and still 15336 m³/h against 500 Pa. A diagonal mixed flow impeller and 3D stator guide vanes give high pressure from a compact circular casing.The EC motor runs at 1410 rpm at its best efficiency point on three phase 400V 50Hz, absorbing 3.117 kW with a peak current of 5.7 A, and is driven by Elta's external EC motor controller 149-ECC4501 for step-less speed control. The casing is weatherproofed to IPX4 with an integral IP44 terminal box, and Elta give a 12 month warranty. 3 Phase EC Motor Up to 20347 m³/h Speed Controllable What it is best used forThe largest EC SEL, for very high volume systems on 710mm duct: warehouses, factories, sports halls and central air handling plant. It moves 18738 m³/h at 200 Pa and 15336 m³/h at 500 Pa.It needs a 400V three phase supply and its external EC motor controller, and it should be attenuated near occupied rooms (69 dB(A) outlet at 3m).Why choose this over alternativesAgainst the AC SEL710/4-3PAC (20419 m³/h free air, 66.2% efficient), this EC model moves 20347 m³/h at 73.8% overall efficiency, with an FMEG grade of N 79.1. EC control gives smooth step-less speed adjustment from a potentiometer or 0-10V BMS signal, and lower running costs when the fan is turned down.Elta quote static pressures up to 1400 Pa for the EC SEL range, and this size still delivers 15336 m³/h at 500 Pa, the limit of the published table.Installation notes The fan can be mounted in any orientation. Slide it into the duct and fix it with the integral mounting bracket, making sure the ductwork is not strained, and connect duct to both inlet and outlet so no moving parts are accessible. The EC motor is driven through Elta's external EC motor controller 149-ECC4501. Wire to Elta diagram 152-547 and take the fuse rating from the controller's own documents; speed is then set with a 149-POT-10-MI potentiometer or a 0-10V signal. Use fast clamps (018-710-CLAMP) or matching flanges (061B-0710) to connect to the duct, and run the airflow in the direction marked on the casing. Fit a means of isolation and earth the fan and controller, and check the running current against the nameplate on first start. Install indoors in a dry, condensation free space: Elta's installation manual says SEL fans must not be operated out of doors, and they are not for explosive atmospheres.
