The Elta Multiflow SEL560/4-3PAC is a 560mm mixed flow inline duct fan with a three phase AC motor, moving up to 9688 m³/h in free air and 8204 m³/h against 200 Pa. A diagonal mixed flow impeller and 3D stator guide vanes give it high pressure from a compact circular casing.The 4 pole motor runs at 1410 rpm on a 380 to 415V 50Hz supply, absorbing 1.27 kW with a peak current of 2.8 A at 400V. Elta list this model as supplied complete with control, with electronic controller 149-FU2205 named in the datasheet. The casing is weatherproofed to IPX4 with an integral IP44 terminal box, and Elta give a 12 month warranty. 3 Phase AC Motor Up to 9688 m³/h Speed Controllable What it is best used forHigh volume ventilation on 560mm duct with a 400V supply: warehouses and stores, factories, sports halls and large commercial kitchens. It moves 8204 m³/h at 200 Pa and 6919 m³/h at 300 Pa.Above about 350 Pa this size falls away sharply (2448 m³/h at 400 Pa), so for high resistance systems choose the SEL630/4-3PAC or the SEL560-3PEC EC model.Why choose this over alternativesUnlike the inverter-only 230V motors on the 400 to 500mm 4 pole SELs, this size has a 400V 50Hz motor that Elta say can run direct on a three phase supply or from a frequency converter. It moves 9688 m³/h free air, close to the SEL500/4-3PAC (9864 m³/h), and the SEL630/4-3PAC steps up to 14414 m³/h.The EC SEL560-3PEC on the same size moves 13068 m³/h free air for 2.303 kW with 67.4% overall efficiency, against 58.6% for this AC model. The AC version suits sites that want a conventional 400V induction motor.Installation notes The fan can be mounted in any orientation. Slide it into the duct and fix it with the integral mounting bracket, making sure the ductwork is not strained, and connect duct to both inlet and outlet so no moving parts are accessible. Wire into the integral IP44 terminal box to Elta diagram 152-544. Elta's installation manual says the 560, 630 and 710 sizes can run direct on 400V 50Hz three phase or from a frequency converter; standard PWM converters add some motor noise. The thermal contact must be connected to an external tripping unit. The internal thermal protection does not cover a blocked impeller, so fit a motor protection switch with thermal and magnetic release, plus a means of isolation and an earth. Use fast clamps (018-560-CLAMP) or matching flanges (061B-0560) to connect to the duct, and run the airflow in the direction marked on the casing. Install indoors in a dry, condensation free space: Elta's installation manual says SEL fans must not be operated out of doors, and they are not for explosive atmospheres. Clean the impeller and casing at the recommended intervals; an upstream filter extends them.
