The Elta Multiflow SEL450-1PEC is a 450mm mixed flow inline duct fan with a single phase EC motor, moving up to 8654 m³/h in free air and still 7110 m³/h against 500 Pa. A diagonal mixed flow impeller and 3D stator guide vanes give high pressure from a compact circular casing.The EC motor runs at 2490 rpm at its best efficiency point on single phase 230V 50Hz, absorbing 1.67 kW with a peak current of 9.9 A, and is driven by Elta's external EC motor controller 149-ECC1401 for step-less speed control. The casing is weatherproofed to IPX4 with an integral IP44 terminal box, and Elta give a 12 month warranty. 1 Phase EC Motor Up to 8654 m³/h Speed Controllable What it is best used forThe largest single phase SEL in Elta's datasheet, for big systems on 450mm duct without three phase: commercial kitchens, sports halls, warehouses and central plant with heavy filtration. It moves 8204 m³/h at 200 Pa and 7110 m³/h at 500 Pa.At up to 9.9 A single phase and 76 dB(A) inlet at 3m, it needs a dedicated circuit and serious attenuation. If three phase is available, the SEL500-3PEC moves more air at 3.3 A per phase.Why choose this over alternativesAgainst the AC SEL450/4-3PAC (6991 m³/h free air, 61.1% efficient), this EC model moves 8654 m³/h at 71.0% overall efficiency, with an FMEG grade of N 79.2. EC control gives smooth step-less speed adjustment from a potentiometer or 0-10V BMS signal, and lower running costs when the fan is turned down.With the SEL400-1PEC it is the only way to get this much SEL airflow from a single phase supply.Installation notes The fan can be mounted in any orientation. Slide it into the duct and fix it with the integral mounting bracket, making sure the ductwork is not strained, and connect duct to both inlet and outlet so no moving parts are accessible. The EC motor is driven through Elta's external EC motor controller 149-ECC1401. Wire to Elta diagram 152-547 and take the fuse rating from the controller's own documents; speed is then set with a 149-POT-10-MI potentiometer or a 0-10V signal. Use fast clamps (018-450-CLAMP) or matching flanges (061B-0450) to connect to the duct, and run the airflow in the direction marked on the casing. Fit a means of isolation and earth the fan and controller, and check the running current against the nameplate on first start. Install indoors in a dry, condensation free space: Elta's installation manual says SEL fans must not be operated out of doors, and they are not for explosive atmospheres.
