The Elta HAVA280V is a whole house MVHR unit that extracts stale, humid air from wet rooms and supplies fresh, filtered air to living rooms and bedrooms, recovering up to 91% of the heat through a counterflow plate heat exchanger. It moves up to 89 l/s (320 m³/h), or 75 l/s against 100 Pa.The EPP construction sits in metal casework, with automatic anti-frost protection and an integral summer bypass. It comes pre-cabled with the CTRL-DSP LCD controller and is PCDB and SAP Appendix Q listed, with Elta SAP data up to kitchen + 4 wet rooms. The HAVA280V adds night mode, holiday mode and a weekly timer on the supplied LCD controller, so occupants can run it quietly overnight without switching it off.The Elta HAVA400V moves up to 112 l/s and is listed up to kitchen plus 7 wet rooms.Installation notes Mount indoors in a heated space, vertically on a flat wall that carries its weight. It must be vertical for the condensate drainage to work. Connect a G 3/4 inch condensate drain joint through a U-bend or dry trap and plug the unused one. Leave access to the filters and inspection doors. The outside air connections can be handed left or right: change the orientation in the CTRL-DSP installer menu and swap the duct and drain labels supplied. Connect the CTRL-DSP with a 4 core twisted pair cable up to 30m. A humidity or air quality sensor on the IAQ input raises the speed by 15%. Insulate the ductwork to local regulations, commission the supply and extract rates, and clean the heat exchanger once a year with a vacuum cleaner. You'll also need Elta SEN-HY-I wall mounted humidity sensor wires to the unit's volt free sensor input to boost ventilation when humidity rises.
