Clearflow CF400 Roof Fan Single Phase AC 400mm

The Elta Clearflow CF400/4-1AC is a 400mm vertical discharge centrifugal roof fan moving up to 4838 m³/h in free air, rated in the Elta datasheet to 400 Pa. It can be mounted at angles up to 30°, so it fits straight onto pitched roofs as well as flat roof upstands.A single phase AC external rotor motor with sealed for life bearings drives a backward curved impeller with 7 fluted composite blades, inside an all metal pre-galvanised steel casing. A bird guard and removable wind guard are fitted as standard, the motor is rated for air up to +60°C and Elta give a 12 month warranty. 1 Phase AC Motor Up to 4838 m³/h Speed Controllable What it is best used forMedium industrial and commercial extract, such as larger kitchens and catering, bakeries and production areas, where you need about 4284 m³/h at 100 Pa and pressure capacity up to 400 Pa.The standard Clearflow is rated for air up to +60°C with the motor in the airstream. For hot or grease laden extract straight off a cooking canopy, use the Elta Clearflow CFHT400 instead, which keeps the motor out of the airstream and handles up to +120°C.Why choose this over alternativesVertical discharge throws odours and contaminated air up and away from occupied areas and roof walkways, and because the fan sits on the roof it saves plant space inside. The backward curved impeller with 7 fluted composite blades is designed for high efficiency at the operating point with low noise, and the bird guard and wind guard come fitted as standard. This size is also available in three phase: the Elta CF400/4-3AC moves up to 4892 m³/h and is rated to 400 Pa. Pick whichever matches the supply on site. For grease laden or high temperature extract, the Elta Clearflow CFHT400 is the matching high temperature roof fan, with its motor out of the airstream.Installation notes The unit can be mounted at angles of up to 30°, so it can sit directly on a pitched roof without a levelling kerb. The spigot is on the underside of the fan and fits directly to the main duct. For speed control wire through the Elta 149-TC14 5 step transformer controller to Elta wiring diagram 152-104A, with a means of electrical isolation at the fan. The wind guard is easily removed for cleaning and maintenance, so leave safe roof access to the fan.
