Max 117DM High Speed Mushroom Cutter

The Dremel Max 117DM High Speed Mushroom Cutter is a titanium nitride-coated carving bit designed for precision material removal across wood, plastic and soft metals. This heavy-duty accessory delivers twice the lifespan of standard non-coated bits, making it a durable choice for trade professionals and serious DIY enthusiasts tackling carving, freehand routing, shaping and engraving projects. Ideal for working with softwood, hardwood, plastic and soft metals including aluminium, copper and brass, this mushroom cutter excels at detailed work where precision matters. The titanium nitride coating not only extends service life but also maintains cutting performance throughout extended use. For optimal results, allow the accessory and your Dremel multi-tool to remove material without excessive force or pressure. Use the sides of the accessory head at an angle less than 90 degrees for the most effective cutting action. If you experience chattering rather than smooth material removal, increasing the RPM will deliver a cleaner finish.
