Description

Warmth:Comfortable between 10C and -0C. Wadding with good fill power (100g/m2)User comfort:Protective tab on the zip of the stand-up collar at the chinPockets:2 zipped pockets for securing your belongingsEasy maintenance:This padded jacket filled with wadding is easy to machine wash. QuickdryingWeight:This padded jacket weighs approximately 400 g in size L Thermal insulation: This padded jacket, when worn as a 3rd layer, has a temperature rating of 0C that was certified during a standardised test in a thermal chamber. The model is wearing a synthetic long-sleeved T-shirt and a light fleece underneath. It works with a simulated 5 km/h wind. In our heat comparison tool, this is equivalent to 1 star. We have also tested this model in static mode. The comfort temperature is +10C in this case. Technical information on the wadding: We use a 100% polyester wadding: 100 g/sqm in the body and 60 g/sqm in the sleeves. Our advice in the event of rain: The material of the quilted jacket is water repellent. This means that drops of water roll off the fabric preventing them from soaking into the padded jacket as quickly, giving you time to find some shelter. But the padded jacket is not waterproof. We therefore recommend wearing a waterproof jacket over the down jacket in the event of prolonged exposure to rain. Water repellent property of component (not to be confused with waterproofing): The water repellent property of a fabric is its ability to make water run off its surface without absorbing it. This prevents the fabric from swelling, and keeps it lightweight and warm. The fabric of this down jacket is water repellent, however, we recommend that you wear a waterproof jacket over it in the rain. The fabric is made water-repellent by treating (PFC-free) its outer surface, however this property may deteriorate with use. We recommend that you restore it after each wash. How to restore the water-repellent properties?: Once you have cleaned your padded jacket, we recommend you use a water-repellent reactivator spray to preserve the hydrophobic properties of the outer fabric. This renews the fabrics water repellent properties and optimises its performance throughout the lifespan of your garment. The benefits of synthetic wadding: Synthetic filling is a useful alternative to feathers: - It has good thermal insulation capacity, even when wet - It provides greater breathability and may be recommended in the case of dynamic activity (feather down is recommended for static activity) - Easy care: machine wash at 30C and tumble dry A snag? This is how to repair your down jacket: A tear on a padded jacket can happen when trekking! The good news is that it can be repaired with a repair patch to prevent the tear from getting bigger or the synthetic fibres from escaping. Don't you feel at ease carrying out this repair yourself? Don't worry! Some Decathlon workshops offer an in-store repair service to mend your padded jacket using a heat-bonded patch.
