What materials are these socks made of?: These Merino wool socks are knitted with large plush loops under the foot, and on the calf and shin. The parts between these areas are knitted in medium plush loops of Thermolite synthetic thread to keep your feet warm, even in damp conditions. The toe and heel are reinforced with polyamide thread for greater resistance to wear. The calf, ankle and instep are elasticated for a firm fit when walking. The advantages of Merino wool: Merino wool regulates body temperature and wicks away moisture. These qualities make it ultra-comfortable and soft. This material also naturally limits the growth of odour-causing bacteria. In other words, after a physical effort and heavy perspiration, merino wool prevents evaporation and helps to maintain body temperature by absorbing most body moisture. This limits the unpleasant chilling effect.
