What is Cica-Care Silicone Gel Sheet 12cm x 6cm Cica-Care Gel Sheet 15cm X 12cm helps to cover the red, raised scars. With the help of a moisturising effect it helps to flatten the scars, improve its texture, and make the scar tissue paler in colour. It is durable, comfortable and reusable, ideal for day and night use. Cica-Care can even be used on scars up to 20 years old. Within 2-4 months, scars you thought were permanent can be treated and their appearance improved - permanently. Cica-Care Gel Sheet occludes the skin to hydrate the scar area, helping the moisture locked into the skin around the scar. This helps to reduce the blood supply and deposits of collagen, which is what the body uses to rebuild the deeply wounded skin. To help soften, flatten and fade red, dark or raised scars that have resulted from surgery, accidents, cuts and burns and injury to any part of the body, including the face. Usage How to use Cica-Care Silicone Gel Sheet 12cm x 6cm Step 1 Wash hands before and after use. Gently clean the scar and surrounding skin with a mild soap and rinse in clean warm water. Thoroughly dry the scar and surrounding skin. Remove gel sheet from tray. Step 2 Cut gel sheet, to fit scar size, with a small overlap over the surrounding skin. Remove printed plastic sheet. Step 3 Apply gel sheet, adhesive side to the scar, without stretching. If necessary a light bandage can be used to keep Cica-Care in place. For first two days use Cica-Care for 4 hours per day. For next two days use Cica-Care for 8 hours per day. Continue to increase wear time by 2 hours per day until a minimum of 12 hours per day is reached. If possible Cica-Care should be worn 24 hours per day. Step 4 Wash Cica-Care the scar and surrounding skin, at least once a day with mild soap and rinse in clean warm water. Dry with a cloth towel. Step 5 When Cica-Care begins to wear or cleaning is difficult, it should be replaced. This usually occurs after 14-28 day intervals. When used correctly the best results are seen after 2-4 months. Usage Warnings Precautions to consider before using Cica-Care Silicone Gel Sheet Caution before using the Cica-Care Silicone Gel Sheet: Cica-Care is contra-indicated for patients with complicating medical factors which would make them unable to use the dressing properly and in patients with dermatological conditions which disrupt the integrity of the skin in areas of coverage. Do not use on open or infected wounds. Do not use on skin currently affected by acne. Follow instructions for use carefully. Do not use unless skin surrounding the scar or closed wound is normal. Do not use with ointments or creams under the gel sheet. In some patients a rash has been observed on the scar and surrounding skin. Should a rash occur, reduce Cica-Care therapy time to 12 hours on, 12 hours off. If the rash persists discontinue use and consult your physician or medical advisor. On surgical incisions, use Cica-Care only after sutures have been removed. Warnings
