Rail 29 S 002471893

Sharing a chassis with the barnstorming Rake 29 bike, the Calibre Rail is a big-wheeled bike that performs like a proper modern mountain bike, but for a lower price. The combination of its steep seat angle and slacker head angle creates a great climber and a confident hill bomber; its a composed ride thats great for anyone starting out. Suspension on this hardtail is taken care of by a fuss-free, coil-sprung Suntour XCM fork with100mm of travel. The Rails Shimano drivetrain works well with the handsome tan-walled OBR tyres to create speed and keep you in control. Its Clarks M2 hydraulic brakes provide ample stopping power in all conditions. Altogether, this bike is far more capable than its price tag suggests -its a budget all-rounder and a team favourite.About CalibreCalibre Bikes have a simple ethos: to build high-quality road and mountain bikes, that are affordable and fun to ride. Thoughtful and innovative design, with great attention paid to geometry and spec, makes Calibre an award-winning brand that leads the pack.Frame: Alu 6061 29, 135 QR, Post-mount disc, 44mm headtubeFork: SR Suntour SF15 XCM forks with 100mm of travelHandlebar: Calibre Trail, Alloy 780mm wide, 20mm upsweep, 6°backsweep, 31.8mm clampStem: Calibre Trail, 31.8mm clamp, 45mm extensionGrips: Calibre Trail, Single lock-on, soft compound, integrated bar endHeadset: Semi-integrated, ZS44Saddle: Calibre Trail, steel railsSeatpost: Calibre Trail 30.9 x 350mmSeatclamp: Calibre QR 34.9MMChainset: Calibre 175mm 22x36TPedals: Flat pedalsBottom Bracket: Square taper 73mm BBDrivetrain: Shimano 18 speedCassette: Shimano 9 speed Acera 11-34TChain: KMC X9Shifter Right: Shimano Alivio 9 speed for 2x9Shifter Left: Shimano Alivio 2 speed for 2x9Rear Derailleur: ShimanoAlivio 9 speed direct mountFront Derailleur: Shimano Dual pull 34.9 - 31.8 / 36-14TTyres: Obor Mike Bear 29 x 2.25 Tan wallRims: 29, 25mm wide, 32h, alu double wallFront Hub: Shun Feng, SF-A217F, Alu, black, 36h, 6 bolt disc, 100mm QRRear Hub: Shun Feng, SF- A217R, Alu, black, 36h, 6 bolt disc, 135 QRFront Brake: Clarks M2 Hydraulic discRear Brake: Clarks M2 Hydraulic discFront Rotor: Clarks Wavey 180mmRear Rotor: Clarks Wavey 160mmPlease Note: Due to ongoing issues in the supply chain, this bike is subject to specification changes without notice.
