EN 14450 S2 Certified Security The Burton Home Safe S2 has been independently attack tested and certified to the recognised European EN 14450 S2 security standard by Sold Secure. This provides a recommended £4,000 cash rating or £40,000 valuables rating, making the safe particularly well suited to protecting: Jewellery and watches Cash Important personal possessions Collectables and smaller valuable items Confidential paperwork Important household or business documents For customers looking for recognised security protection rather than a basic domestic safe, S2 certification provides valuable independent reassurance that the product has been subjected to recognised burglary-resistance testing. £4,000 Cash / £40,000 Valuables Rating With a recommended £40,000 valuables rating, the Home Safe S2 is particularly well suited to protecting jewellery and watches within the home. It provides a significant increase in protection over entry-level domestic safes while retaining relatively compact dimensions that make discreet residential installation practical. The range is also insurance approved by the Association of Insurance Surveyors (AiS) and built to the Police Preferred Specification – Secured by Design, adding further reassurance when selecting a safe for insured valuables. High-Security Electronic Lock Every Home Safe S2 is fitted with an easy-to-use electronic digital lock, providing convenient keyless access. The locking system supports a Master Code plus multiple User Codes, making the safe suitable for both private use and situations where several authorised users require access. Additional functionality includes Dual User operation and Time Delay, providing greater control over access when required. Substantial Three-Way Locking The Home Safe S2 incorporates a substantial three-way locking system. Double locking bolts secure the side of the door, with additional bolts at the top and bottom providing protection from multiple directions. A fixed dog bolt on the hinge side provides additional resistance against hinge attacks, helping ensure the door remains securely protected even if the external hinges are targeted. Three Sizes to Suit Your Requirements The Burton Home Safe S2 is available in three sizes. All three sizes provide the same EN 14450 S2 certified security and recommended £4,000 cash / £40,000 valuables rating. Practical Internal Storage Every Home Safe S2 is supplied with one removable internal shelf, allowing the storage space to be organised around different combinations of possessions. The shelf can also be removed where additional vertical space is required for larger items. The safe door opens to approximately 90 degrees, providing convenient access to the interior when correctly positioned. Secure Floor or Wall Fixing Correct installation is essential to achieving the intended level of security. The Home Safe S2 provides both base and rear fixing provision, allowing the safe to be securely anchored to a suitable structural floor or wall. A fixing kit is supplied. The safe must be correctly anchored to maintain its security certification and associated recommended insurance rating, so professional installation is recommended where there is any uncertainty regarding the intended fixing surface or installation method. SafeFort Recommendation The Burton Home Safe S2 is an excellent choice for customers looking for a compact, independently certified safe to protect jewellery, watches, cash and other valuable possessions within the home. Its combination of EN 14450 S2 certification, £40,000 recommended valuables rating, AiS approval and Secured by Design status provides a significant step up from a conventional domestic safe without requiring the weight and cost associated with higher Grade 0 or Grade 1 security safes. The compact 11-litre Size 1 is particularly well suited to smaller jewellery and watch collections. The 23-litre Size 2provides an excellent balance between discreet external dimensions and usable storage capacity, while the 39-litre Size 3is the best option for larger collections or where documents need to be stored alongside valuables. For customers protecting higher-value jewellery or watches, the natural next step is the Burton Home Safe G0, which increases
