The BCHTS36 is a cordless hedge trimmer which runs on a Black & Decker 36v lithium ion battery, meaning it shares battery compatibility with other tools in the range such as grass trimmers, lawnmowers, chainsaws, leaf blowers and vacuum cleaners. If you already own a Black & Decker 36v battery and charger it is available as a bare tool so you don't have to buy duplicates of them, or it is also available as a complete starter kit with a battery and charger included. Black & Decker's 36v platform is a popular choice for gardeners as the powerful lithium ion batteries are an ideal combination of performance and mobility, giving you all the cordless freedom of a petrol machine but without the hassle of buying, mixing and safely storing hazardous fuel, or having to maintain a petrol engine - simply recharge your batteries in between uses and you're always ready to go.
