The Ointment is to be applied externally and on a gauze dressing, while the Suppositories are meant specifically for anal insertion. What are the key features? Ingredients Usage How to use Anusol Plus HC Ointment + Anusol Plus HC Suppositories Read the enclosed patient leaflet before use. Cleanse the affected area thoroughly, dry it and apply the ointment on a gauze dressing or insert the suppository into the anus as needed. Use sparingly at night, in the morning and after each bowel movement — up to four applications (for the ointment) or three insertions (for the suppositories) per day. For internal conditions, use the rectal nozzle provided with the ointment, clean the nozzle after each use. Do not use for longer than seven consecutive days.
