About beek

beek is a women's footwear label from Newport Beach, California, launched in 2014 by friends Birgit Klett and Kenna Florie, who still lead it. The brand designs vegetable-tanned leather shoes in California and has them handmade by artisan workshops around the world, selling through beekshop.com and stockists.

What beek sells

• Leather sandals and flip flops in bird-named styles such as Sandpiper, Moorhen, Owlet, Dipper and Griffin
• Ballets, heels, loafers, mules, clogs, sneakers and shearling styles
• Boots including the Rider, Worker, Town and Country designs from the Leanne Ford collaboration
• Handbags such as the Willet woven shoulder bag and Starling woven clutch, plus jewelry, apparel, socks and loafer charms

The brand has also run collaborations with Samantha Wennerstrom, House of Abbie and Beach Riot. Under its charity commitment, beek says it gives the equivalent of a day of meals for a child through Second Harvest Food Bank for every pair sold.

Delivery and returns

US orders of $200 or more ship free by ground economy service, and members of The Flock loyalty program get free shipping on every order. UPS 2-day and Next Day Air cost extra and are not refunded on returns. Orders placed after 11:30am Pacific leave the next business day, and nothing ships at weekends or on holidays. Canada, the United Kingdom and Australia are served through Passport.

Unworn, unused pairs in their original packaging can be returned for a refund within 14 days of delivery using a free UPS label from the online Returns Center. A $10 restocking fee is taken from refunds, though VIB and Golden Bird members of The Flock skip it. Refunds land in 7 to 10 business days, and exchanges or a non-expiring digital gift card cost nothing.
