About Millie's Cookies

Millie's Cookies is a British bakery chain that has sold freshly baked cookies since 1985, when founder Mario Budwig opened the first counter in the Selfridges food hall on Oxford Street, according to Wikipedia. Select Service Partner (SSP) bought the business in June 2003, and SSP UK now operates milliescookies.com alongside more than 40 stores around the country.

What Millie's Cookies sells

• Personalised giant cookies: shoppers pick a shape, a base flavour and icing colours, then add a message that the icing team pipes by hand
• Pick and mix cookie boxes in sizes of 24 or 50
• Mini bites dipping boxes, cookie croissants and seasonal lines such as Halloween character cookies
• Gift extras including greeting cards, birthday candles, balloons and confetti, plus corporate orders for businesses

The terms say each order is baked on the day it leaves the bakery and stays fresh for a further 4 days when kept at room temperature in its original box. Click and collect from stores is also available.

Delivery and returns

Parcels travel with DHL, which sends a one-hour delivery window on the day. Standard UK weekday delivery costs £5.99 and Saturday delivery £6.49. Orders placed before 1pm Monday to Friday can be dispatched the same day, while later orders arrive two days after the order date. Monday deliveries are baked the previous Friday, and an Irish two-day service costs £10.30.

Because the cookies are perishable, damaged, incorrect or incomplete parcels must be reported within 24 hours of delivery, with the cookies and packaging kept as evidence. Millie's then chooses between a replacement, a full or partial refund, or company credit. Refunds are not given because a flavour was not to someone's taste, and changes or cancellations need at least three working days' notice before the delivery date.
