io Gut Health is the online shop for ió Gut Health Drink, a prebiotic fibre drink from The Prebiotic Company Ltd of Edinburgh (Companies House SC613628). The company was incorporated in November 2018, its co-founders Jay, Aly and Mohs date the project to 2019, and the drink launched in May 2022. It took its current ió Gut Health Drink name in 2025.

Each flavour has 6g of fibre and 21 kcal per bottle, according to the brand's FAQ, of which 4.5g is chicory root fibre. ió says its chicory root fibre carries two health claims authorised in the UK and EU: it supports normal gut function by increasing stool frequency, with the effect obtained from 12g a day, about 2.7 bottles; and, eaten instead of sugars, it leads to a lower rise in blood glucose after meals. The brand also cites independent research by Glasgow Caledonian University on gut bacteria. Unopened bottles keep at room temperature; once opened they should be chilled and finished within 24 hours.
