Royal Mile Whiskies

Royal Mile Whiskies was established in 1991 on Edinburgh's High Street, opposite St Giles' Cathedral. Set up to sell whisky from one of the most iconic locations in Scotland, the company has become one of the most respected whisky merchants in the world, winning Whisky Magazine's Retailer of the Year Award in 2003, 2004, 2006, 2007, 2010, 2011, 2013 and 2015.

Known worldwide for one of the most comprehensive ranges of Scotch whisky, old and rare whisky and exclusive spirits, the company launched their first website in 2000 and has steadily built an ever-increasing pool of satisfied customers around the world.

In 2002, they opened a shop in Bloomsbury Street, London, near the British Museum. In 2011, they opened Drinkmonger shops in Pitlochry and Edinburgh. The company was acquired in October 2022 by Iain McClune and Keir Sword, returning ownership to former employees.
