Brora

Brora is a Scottish cashmere brand founded in March 1993 by Victoria Stapleton. After her family became involved with Hunters of Brora, a 100-year-old tweed mill in north-east Scotland, Victoria established a retail business focused on cashmere and tweed, starting in her bedroom surrounded by boxes and wrapping every parcel herself. The first shop opened on the King's Road, London. From the beginning, Brora cashmere has been dyed and knitted by the same mill in Hawick in the Scottish Borders - established over 200 years ago in 1797. The soft waters of the River Teviot are crucial to the finished handle. Using only Grade A cashmere fibres from Mongolian goats, Brora is 100% privately owned with all cashmere clothing made in Scotland.
