Admiral is a historic English sportswear brand founded in Leicester in 1914, making it one of the oldest sports brands in the UK. Originally an undergarment manufacturer, Admiral pioneered football kit manufacturing and became the first brand to appear on professional football kits in the UK during the 1970s.
Through partnerships with Leeds United, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, Southampton, West Ham and the England national team, Admiral developed the replica kit market in the UK. In 1974, they produced the first commercially available England shirt featuring a manufacturer's logo.
Today, Admiral Performance continues serving professional, semi-professional and amateur football with custom kit design services, match kits, shorts, socks and training wear. Currently worn by AFC Wimbledon in SkyBet League 1, Admiral maintains its place at the heart of football.
