Peacocks

Peacocks is a British value fashion retailer founded in 1884 by Albert Frank Peacock in Warrington, Cheshire, as a Victorian Penny Bazaar selling goods at low prices. In 1940, Albert's son Harold moved the business to Cardiff, Wales, where it remains headquartered today. From home goods and basic clothing, Peacocks transformed into a major fashion player under Richard Kirk's leadership, winning numerous awards including Best Value Retailer from Drapers. After entering administration in 2012, the brand was rescued by Edinburgh Woollen Mill, though ownership transferred to Green Spark Holdings Limited in 2021 following EWM's 2020 collapse. Now operating 345 stores across the UK, Peacocks continues championing affordable fashion for families.
