About Vita Liberata

Vita Liberata is a self-tan and skin-finish brand that Alyson Hogg founded in 2003. After a period under Crown Laboratories, Hogg reacquired it in 2024. The UK store at vitaliberata.com is operated by Simple Purpose Ltd, a Northern Ireland company (NI707521) incorporated on 4 January 2024 with Hogg as a director.

What Vita Liberata sells

  • Developing body tans in tinted and clear formulas, plus express tans
  • Face tans and face glow products for a buildable colour
  • Body Blur and other wash-off body makeup, and body glow products
  • The Tan and Protect kit, tanning mitts and other application tools
  • Gift and routine sets, and an end-of-line section for discontinued products

BeautyMatter reported in 2024 that the brand's odourless collection is made without parabens, perfume and alcohol, using what Vita Liberata calls Advogani Technology.

Delivery and returns

Delivery within the UK and Northern Ireland costs £6.00 and takes 1 to 2 working days, and orders over £45 ship free. Orders placed after 1pm leave the next working day, so anything ordered from Friday afternoon to Sunday is dispatched on Monday. Republic of Ireland delivery costs €7.50 and EU delivery €12.00, taking 5 to 7 working days for the EU, and both are free over €50. Buyers outside the UK pay any customs charges.

A return has to be requested within 14 days of receiving the order. Opened products that arrive undamaged are not refunded or replaced, and the customer pays postage, which is not refunded. Damaged, faulty or incorrect items should be reported with photos within 14 days so a replacement can be arranged. Returns are posted to the brand's address in Antrim, ideally by a tracked and insured service.
