Rockefeller Ring Clad

Our 10.16-carat asscher cut replica of arguably the most famous emerald ring ever sold. The original gemstone was acquired by John D. Rockefeller Jr. in 1930, as a centrepiece in a Van Cleef brooch, for his wife - Abby Aldrich Rockefeller. When she passed away, in 1948, her youngest son, David Rockefeller, inherited the emerald. He commissioned master jeweller, Raymond Yard, to set the stone in a spectacular platinum ring. Around 2005, it was bought from the Rockefellers by an American collector who put in on the Christie's auction, in 2017, where it sold to the legendary jeweller, Harry Winston, for the record price of $5,5-million or $305,000 per carat.
